The 2012 Patriotic Festival is shaping up to be one of the best ever. It's a given the music is going to be amazing with performances from Miranda Lambert, Steel Pulse and Scotty McCreery. The 2012 summer schedule for fireworks at the beach is now available. All fireworks will be set off from an offshore barge, at approximately 20th Street. Best viewing is along the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Unless otherwise stated, fireworks take place at 10pm.

Coming this summer is the newest - and what's going to be the nicest - oceanfront destination in Virginia Beach. OceanAire, the third phase of the Ocean Beach Club Resort project, is set to open early summer and it's going to be amazing. Offering amenities not seen anywhere on the oceanfront, OceanAire will truly be a spectacular property. We are getting construction updates daily so we'll keep you posted on the latest pictures and news about opening day.

The line up is set and it's going to be amazing! Topping the list of performers at this year's Patriotic Festival is Miranda Lambert. Fresh off her winning the 2012 Country Music Awards Female Vocalist of Year and Album of Year awards, Miranda Lambert kicks the weekend off on Friday. I could simply copy and paste my posting from last Friday and nothing will have changed. The weather continues to be simply amazing. This is definitely going to go down in the books as one of the best spring weather seasons on record. Get down here and have some fun...whether it's for a stroll along the oceanfront, to relax and enjoy a meal and a drink on one of the many restaurant patios overlooking the beach, to swing in to spring with a round of golf...it doesn't matter to me what you want to do, but I do want you to come enjoy this incredible weather!

Three days in the 80's...couple of days in the 70's this weekend...and then more of the same next week! Wow, that's all we have to say, and to think it's only March. The golf courses are starting to get in great shape, the water is warming up (still a little chilly for a swim) and the oceanfront patios at the many restaurants are in full swing. Grab your gear, hop in the car and come on down for some fun in the sun. It just doesn't get any better than spring in Virginia Beach.

All summer long, the Beach explodes with over 20 different fireworks shows every Sunday and Wednesday. All shows take place at 10pm, and are shot off from an off-shore barge around 20th street.
